OUR STORY

The "Pastel de Nata" can be found at any corner cafe/bakery in Portugal. It is a common stapple and a huge part of Portuguese culture. Casa Nata’s vision was to bring this little piece of Portugal to Melbourne, and to celebrate the traditional and authentic processes of making Pasteis de Nata, to be "Melbourne's Home of the Portuguese tart". Founder, Ruben Bertolo started baking from a spare bedroom at his parents home in 2017 before heading over to Portugal to further develop his skills and recipe.
